Teacher Training with Pilates Process

Our Approach

We are detail oriented and limit class sizes to 8 students so that everyone gets the assistance they need.

Small Class Sizes

We really want you to understand the material, not just memorize it and we have developed creative, diverse methods of teaching to ensure just that.

Commitment To Students

We have extremely high standards for teacher trainers. All of our teachers have extensive experience and are passionate about Pilates, teaching, and their students.

Exceptional Teachers

Understandably, not every fitness teacher wants to teach therapeutically. It is a reality however, that every teacher will come across clients with pain and injury whether they plan to or not. Our training is infused with our therapeutic knowledge so that you will feel prepared and confident when those situations arise.

Comprehensive Teacher Training

This is the first step to becoming a Pilates Process™ certified instructor. In this course we teach you the Mat Level 1 + 2 repertoire along with modifications. These exercises are the building blocks that will set you up for the later equipment courses.

We introduce our Pilates Process™ Principles, the basics of functional anatomy, postural analysis and programming, cueing and communication and practice teaching in a creative, supportive and fun environment.

Foundational Mat

This course is considered continued education and covers the advanced level Mat repertoire. A strong understanding of the Foundational Mat work is required as the L3 builds on the foundational material. There will be functional anatomy review, modification considerations and case studies to encourage continued critical thinking about the application of the exercises.

Mat Level 3

In this course we teach you the extensive Reformer Level 1 + 2 repertoire along with modifications. These exercises expand on what was taught in the Foundational Mat Course. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how we can use both Mat and Equipment-based exercises to create a supported, individualized program for each of our clients whether it’s in a private or class setting.

Continued review of functional anatomy, postural analysis and programming, adaptive cueing, class-based teaching, and practice teaching opportunities.

Reformer Level 1/2

This course is considered continued education and covers the advanced level Reformer repertoire. A strong understanding of the Foundational Mat and Reformer is required as the advanced work builds on the foundations of these earlier courses. There will be functional anatomy review, modification considerations and case studies to encourage continued critical thinking about the application of the exercises.

Reformer Level 3

This course covers the Chair Level 1 + 2 repertoire plus modifications. A strong understanding of the Mat + Reformer Repertoire is required to participate in this course. There will be heavier focus on the integration of the foundational material with the chair repertoire to build comprehensive programming for clients. There will be continued review of functional anatomy, postural analysis, adaptive cueing, case studies and practice teaching opportunities.

Chair Level 1/2

The Cadillac was the first equipment Joseph Pilates created. Wonderfully versatile, the vast repertoire is as effective for new and therapeutic clients as it is for challenging the experienced advanced athlete. The Cadillac “advantage” is the non moving bed and higher platform – appropriate for many clients with hip replacements, vertigo and mobility issues, as well as an abundance of exercises in standing adding dynamic functional strength elements.

Cadillac Level 1/2

This course will prepare you to teach the Pilates Process Level 1 & 2 exercises on the Arc Barrel, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector. Barrels are a beautiful piece of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates and an excellent way to get clients to challenge their core stability and strength.
