Christabelle Pausey (she/her/hers)
Christabelle’s goal as a teacher is to bring out each student’s full movement potential. Growing up with a complex relationship to exercise, discovering Pilates in adulthood was the gateway to feeling the joy of movement that is our birthright. She aims to provide students with a positive movement experience that leaves them feeling mentally and physically strong, grounded and expansive.
Christabelle is also a Somatic therapist and counsellor and has a strong understanding of how to identify and work with physical symptoms that are tied to the mind. She brings a sense of playfulness to her classes while also respecting the significance of each student’s effort. She has a deep appreciation for students showing up and doing their best and commits to giving her full attention to each class and private session.
Christabelle has a keen eye for movement idiosyncrasies and is especially adept at working with scoliosis, pre- and post-natal and chronic pain. All her group classes are trauma-informed, and she offers trauma supportive Pilates and Somatic coaching as privates. Somatic coaching can be helpful for pernicious and idiopathic physical symptoms, chronic pain or fatigue, nervous system issues, body image challenges, or difficulty engaging in movement and exercise.
